Yarn-Wrapped Candy Corn Decoration

If you haven't noticed by now, I just love Pinterest. If you love it as much as I do then these may look a little familiar. I am really loving the vibrant colors of candy corn right now and just had to make these. All you need are some styrofoam cones, yarn, hot glue and some music to blast while you craft.
The pictures I had seen on Pinterest (like these from Thrifty Decor Chic) looked like they had used either a different type of yarn or even some thick thread. Since I'm a knitter as well, I went the yarn route which gave me lots of leftovers to use for other projects.
First I wanted to note that I decided to wrap the bottom of the styrofoam cones, even though they probably wouldn't be seen. It gave it a more finished look and I didn't have to worry about anyone seeing any styrofoam. Simply place a dot of hot glue in the center, place your yarn and start spiraling outwards. This was the most time consuming part of the whole project, but still nothing too bad!  Finish your top the same way.

I love how they turned out, and so do the kids! Bright, colorful, easy and fun!
